The heart and soul of riff studio is it's integrated
database system. This database is designed specifically
with songwriters in mind. It allows you to categorize
all of your riffs with searchable flags of your own
designation. Then in the future when you are working on
a new song and you need say a "melodic riff" or a "heavy
riff" all you have to do is select that from the
dropdown and click search. A list of all of your riff's
with that category will come up and you can check them
all out and select the one that best fits the song you
are working on.
You can record your riffs directly within riff studio
and store them into the database or you can import
existing riffs from many different file formats. You may
also just record a jam session if you want and later use
the editor to cut out specific segments for new riffs.
If you have all of your old riffs/songs stored on
cassette or some other non-digital medium you can use
riff studio to transfer them to your computer.
In addition to organizing your riffs you may also
organize your songs and albums into projects. Whenever
you drag your riffs onto the multi-track mixer you can
create a new song project. Any riffs you have dragged
onto the workspace will always load back up whenever you
open this song. the main purpose of the multi-track
mixer is to allow you to experiment with different
arrangements on the fly. It also has a soloing feature
that allows you to re-record as many versions of a solo
you like and then swap them all out to see which one
sounds the best.

Riff Studio also contains a reminder system which allows
you to flag certain riffs with tasks. If you need to
work on a certain riff or try to fit it into a song you
can set yourself a reminder and that window will pop-up
when you start riff studio on the date in question.
One of the strongest benefits of owning riff studio is
the community. Riff Studio was designed by a songwriter
to help organize and simplify the task of creating
music. We are constantly adding new features to it and
we want to hear from other songwriters out there. We
want to know what features would most benefit you to
help you
